IRVING, Texas. and HELSINKI, Finland -- (September 19, 2001) -- Nokia, in close
co-operation with the International Youth Foundation (IYF), has established a
new global fund for the college education needs of children who have lost a

their nationality. Nokia's intent is to ensure a long-term impact by providing
younger generations with the resources they need to succeed.
Nokia will reach out to its employees, partners, customers, suppliers and
subcontractors to support the fund with additional monetary donations.
IYF -- Nokia's global corporate citizenship partner -- will manage the fund, and
the respective universities and colleges will do the selection of the students
eligible for the grants.
