Nokia to host Totally Board music
and board sports event in Manchester, UK

Following the success of previous events in Oberhausen, Germany and Warsaw,
Poland, Nokia will host its 3rd youth lifestyle event in Manchester, UK on
October 13th. The event, going under the name, Totally Board, will feature a
variety of music and board sports entertainment.
"We are very pleased to host this music and board sports inspired event in
Manchester, UK," said Pekka Rantala, Vice President, Marketing Services,
Nokia Mobile Phones, Europe and Africa. "This year's Totally Board event
has a particular focus on music to reflect the growing presence of music in
mobile entertainment."
For 12 hours, two music stages will feature the latest rap, hip-hop and indie-rock
sounds. Top athletes such as snowboarders Dani Costandachй from
Switzerland and Nico Droz from France will display their skills at the event.
Other highlighted sports will be freeskiing, and in-line skating. A vert ramp
will showcase skateboarding and BMX biking. A more than 20-meter high snowboard
ramp will be the venue of a Big Air competition. During the event, the audience
will be able to SMS chat nonstop on their mobile phones with messages displayed
on a giant SMS chat board. Club Nokia, Nokia's on-line community for Nokia phone
owners, will be present with a music bar, Club Nokia services and games.
